This hitch is rated for 18,000 lbs gross towing weight and a 4,500 lbs vertical load limit, giving you the strength to pull large 5th wheels without worry. The heavy steel construction and dual jaws create a tight, solid connection that feels planted and secure mile after mile. It’s built for those long hauls where stability and control matter most.
When space gets tight, the built-in slider gives you the clearance you need. It offers 12" of fore and aft travel to help prevent contact between the cab and trailer on slow-speed turns. Just slide it back when maneuvering and bring it forward when towing straight. It’s a simple, mechanical solution that makes short-bed towing easier and less stressful.
The 3/4" thick dual jaws wrap fully around the king pin for 360-degree contact, eliminating the play and clank common with slide-bar hitches. Polyurethane bushings in the pivot arms soak up vibration so the head can move naturally with the trailer without metal-to-metal noise. The result is a smoother ride with less chucking and rattle on rough highways or uneven roads.
Hitching up or uncoupling is straightforward thanks to the cam-action handle. It’s designed to open easily even if your truck and trailer aren’t perfectly level. If there’s a little binding pressure, just pull forward lightly to pop the jaws free. A pin and clip hold the handle closed during travel, or you can add a padlock for extra security.
With three height settings between 17" and 19", this hitch makes it easy to get your trailer level and maintain proper bed rail clearance. The fully articulating head pivots front-to-back and side-to-side to absorb movement as you travel, helping keep everything stable while the truck and trailer move together naturally.

This hitch is great! Works flawlessly and is easy to install. Directions for mounting hardware sucks . I I’m on of those who like to just hold it up and see how it works. I recommend reading the crappy instructions and then hold the brackets up. Front bar directions good rear bar is bad .
Ordered this B&W slider to replace my Reese 16k slider. I will say that the Reese kingpin jaws fit a bit loose which made a bunch of noise and any bumps in the road made it scary at times. I switched to this B&W and it makes towing our 5th wheel a dream. Very solidly built and the ride is amazing. For the money it's well worth it. B&W will be the only brand hitch I'll be buying from now on. Shipping time with etrailer was very fast and on top of getting things shipped.
From the start,the folks at etrailer were very courteous and helpful. I called many times during the decision making process and everyone was always right there to help. When I finally decided to purchase the B&W 18K Patriot w/slider Bailey was there to help with the order. She explained the free freight shipping and it was a done deal. It arrived 1 day earlier than stated, as soon as I opened the cartons it was in fact the good ol' American made quality I was accustomed to growing up. I proceeded to install on the B&W rails I purchased and installed locally on my 2022 F250 Lariat/ Tremor.I had a small hick- up with the install and etrailer gave me B&W's # as they like to handle issues themselves. Stephanie at B&W was just as courteous. Overall a very pleasant experience. The Patriot was basically plug and play. I then connected my 2021 Grand Design 303RLS Reflection and rolled down yhe road. The B&W 327018K 5th wheel hitch is an excellent product and a really good value. After my 22 year old Reese 14K hitch broke (compromised the locking jaws) I was unsure what my options were so I called E-trailer. Fortunately I got Alex on the phone. He was extremely helpful and insightful. He told me about the B&W products and that is how I ended up with the 3270. I was concerned about the weight. As a 68 year old retiree, I was able to lift the Reese in/out of my truck but afraid the B&W would be too heavy. Alex told me they offered a product that clamped into 5th wheel jaws of the B&W. If I had a pulley system, a lift, or a tractor it was a piece of cake. I have the latter two. After I received the new hitch I assembled and installed in a couple of minutes. Great hitch in my 2015 Ram 2500 Short Bed. I had to contact B&W due to a concern with tightening the mounting bolts. The threads in the holes are painted, B&W said to run a tap through the threads. Also I was missing a few bolts on previously installed mounting kit. B&W sent me the whole bolt kit overnight for free. Awesome American company proudly supporting their products. I highly recommend their products. Also etrailer sent this hitch to me in a timely manner at a great price. I would use etrailer again. Thank you!

Hi James, can you describe what the exact fit problem is? The hitch is designed to fit trucks without the puck system, and would attach to the truck bed using a rail kit like # BWRVK2402.
I love B&W products always well made . This is the second time I’ve purchased from etrailer and couldn’t be happier. This is the first time I’ve ever had anything shipped via Estes Freight and they are top notch, they definitely make UPS,FedEx USPS look bad . Tracking from day one when it was shipped notified when it was out for delivery and again when it was less than an hour from delivery.
As advertised this fifth wheel B & W rails attachment for my 2022 Chevy Silverado fit perfectly and by following the instructions I was able to drill my truck bed once matching up to the frame brackets exactly as designed. My order came promptly with all parts accounted for. My rails and brackets fit perfectly to my B & W 18,000 lb hitch!
Kit was complete and instructions were good. Hardest part was getting past the heat shields (bad design by Chevy). Definitely good for a DIYer.
Arrived in time. Installed on my truck in about 7 hours. Just take your time during install and watch e-trailer sponsored videos for help if you don't understand the factory instructions. Very satisfied with product and e-trailer sales person. Thank you Lakeiya.

Unit is solid and well built, just as advertised. Assembly and installation was straightforward but prepare for lifting help as the base unit is quite heavy.
This is a replacement upgrade and I can't wait for weather to get better and go camping.

After a full year I am very satisfied with this B&W 5th wheel hitch, solid latching and quiet, no slop operation.
Delivered in a very timely manner. No issues with installation. Great customer service. Will use them again.
I originally ordered these products from B & W directly because they were the only ones who had them in stock at that time, or so they said. I called them and confirmed they (B & W) had them. I waited a week and called them back to which I was told they were out of stock. Needless to say I was not happy. I then called etrailer directly and I received the best customer care I had in a long time. Stacey took my order directly and promptly got my order out. I received the rails two days later. I installed them on my new GMC 2500 myself with my wife’s help. PS their install videos were a great help as well. This is one of the best companies I have dealt with in a very long time. This setup does what it says it's going to do. Easy hook up and tows my 36 ft. 5th wheel as if it was not there.
Item is first rate quality. Instructions easy to follow and understand. Priced and delivered very reasonable.
The hitch works really well but the rubber handle in the latch blew off while traveling. We like it but wished we had with the goose neck ball that allows you to remove the ball and haul materuals.
Can't wait to use, lot heavier than the one I had. Only problem I had was figuring out how to get it into the bed of my truck due to the weight. Ready for camping.

Hitch works great, its much better than the previous one I had. I would definitely recommend this hitch. Only issue I have had is the slider sticking which I fixed with silicone spray.
The kit is well made and instructions are pretty good, Sadly you have to remove most of the bolts from the heat shield so you can install the passenger side brackets. You can get all but one put back, its the one where the front passenger side bracket is, no way to reach in and put that one bolt back in place. A word of advice for the front driver side bracket over the fuel tank, use tape to hold the washers in place so you can get the nuts started. My kit also had one bad nut, this was no blame to etrailer or B&W. Allow your self about 4 hours for the install.
This fit my 2024 Chevrolet 2500 very well. The instructions were very detailed and fairly easy to follow. The only hard part was getting to the front frame bracket holes on the driver side under the bed. Overall great product and was exactly what I needed for my Patriot 18k slider 5th wheel hitch. Shipping was super fast. Very satisfied with the product.
Great customer service from Amyl. I changed out a pull rite to a patriot 5th wheel hitch. Using my pull rite bed rails. Amy knew they would swap straight over. No problem easy easy. Cheers

Still using it. I feel B and W is the best in the industry. I just recommended a friend to purchase a B and w turn over ball for her horse trailer.
